About the photographer

Prime Photography was established in 2001 by Gerry Leibbrandt in Wellington NZ. Gerry Leibbrandt emigrated from South Africa to New Zealand in mid 1999. The incredible beauty of New Zealand inspired him to take his passion for photography to the next level. With over twenty years experience as a high-end amateur photographer and with his engineering and computer background he took the major step from conventional film photography and purchased a high-end digital camera. Gerry is a qualified member of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photographers. (NZIPP) your guarantee of Professional quality and ethical conduct.

With a friendly, energetic personality and a lifelong passion for photography, Gerry has the ability to capture the essence of any moment forever. His ability to solve any problems creatively will leave you with an end product that will exceed all your expectations.

Gerry’s wife Frances officially joined the team in 2003 after their marriage so the company is continuing to grow from strength to strength.

Gerry and Frances live in Wainuiomata in a household of 6 children which means that Gerry is never short of a subject to photograph. They enjoy walking and living in the scenery of this beautiful valley.
