Your Invitation to be a Judge in the 2012 Photo Kids Portrait Contest!
Thank you for entering your child/ren in the 2012 Photo Kids Portrait Contest. As well as having the opportunity to win a fantastic holiday for your family, your entry in this contest plays an important part in supporting vital medical research that will benefit many New Zealand children!
This portrait contest has become a major fundraiser for children's charity with the full $30 from every entry donated to Cure Kids (the Child Health Research Foundation). Your support has meant they are closer to their goal of researching the causes and developing treatments for childhood diseases in New Zealand. Last year the photographic studios involved, raised $10,000 for this cause.
Prime Photography invites you to be a judge for the contest on the following dates and location:
*Friday 13th April 9.30am-5pm & Saturday 14th April from 9.30am-2pm, at the Harvey Norman Centre, Lower Hutt (28 Rutherford Street, Lower Hutt).
*Prize giving, when the winners of each category will be announced and given their prizes, will be held on Saturday 21st April from 11am-12pm at Harvey Norman Centre, Lower Hutt.
Invite all of your family and friends along so they too can act as judges in the contest, vote for your children and help raise more money for Cure Kids! We’ve made it easy for you to tell all your friends via our blog, www.primephotos.com/blog or visit our facebook page to get the buzz going!
Voting is by donation (a minimum of $2) with only one vote per household permitted (duplicate votes are automatically disqualified).
We would love to see as many of you as possible at the voting and at the prize giving.
The winners of of each category for the regional competition will go on to the nationals which will be posted on the Photo Kids website later in April/May, giving friends and family of the contestants another opportunity to vote. (The nationals are made up of the winners of each region.) The overall national winner will be judged by an independent panel. We will keep you informed of the dates for the national voting closer to the time and we will let you know if your children receive a placing at any stage in the competition.
The Wellington regional winners, the national winners and the overall winner, will be able to be viewed on the Photo Kids website http://www.photokids.co.nz as soon as possible after the regional and national finals.

Appointments are available now for this year's contest, which has already commenced. I hope that it will continue to provide you with a wonderful way of recording your family growing up, while supporting a worthy cause.
